Hello!
Gosh, it's been a while since I've updated this!
Well, Daniel is doing great and has been really enjoying hanging out with all of his grandparents recently!
He now knows that when Daddy leaves for work, he's going to "talk to choo-choo's"... It was so sweet, last night around bed time (which is when he really starts to miss his Daddy) he looked up at me and said "Daddy choo-choo" very matter of factual, like he was wondering where he was, and remembered "Oh, yeah, my Daddy is so cool, he goes and talks to trains when he's not here."
He acutally ASKED to watch a ball game the other night. Matt was watching a baseball game, and at comercial, he changed the channel. Daniel looks up at him and said "Ball? Please?" It was hilarious! The household is officially two to one for the sporting games, and I throw up the white flag now! : )
He is really getting to the point where he is remembering who people are, and what he did with them the last time they were here. It's kind of neat. His memory is really outstanding (if I do say so myself)... We went to eat at a Cheddar's the other day for the first time since probably January, and in the one that we usually go to (when we do) there is a big fish tank, which Daniel just loves. He was fussy at this new one, so I took him before the food came and was walking around with him. We were walking down the hallway where the fish were in the usual restaurant, and he said "Fish?". I was pretty amazed. It had been 4+ months since we had even been inside a Cheddar's, and this one didn't have any fish, or anything that he could have seen to make him say it, other than remembering at the other one there were fish there. He's just too smart. I have a feeling this memory might come back to haunt me one day... : )
He is able to jump also with both feet off the ground now! He does it everytime he gets excited, and it's just so cute! He's also starting to try to talk in sentances, wich is also exciting. His vocabulary is growing almost daily, and his babbles (that used to just be practicing making sounds) actually have meaning, because it's the same sounds over and over again for the same thing. I can't wait to find out what really has been on his mind all this time! His brain is constantly working and figuring things out, you can just tell by looking at him, so I really am excited for him to start talking.
We are looking forward to this summer. I am going to be working at Child's Day Out Summer Program at a church near our house, and he gets to start there. We'll see how he does. It is only a 6 week program 2 days a week, and we get to try it out and see if he likes it. After that, we will evaluate it to see if we will continue in the Fall or not.
Well, that is about it for now, see you all soon! : )
